About

I built this because I needed it.

I'm Lina. I spent 8 years at a startup where I moved from graphic design/marketing to management to ops. By the end, the work was all numbers and no room to be a whole person. I quit.

Before that, I'd already cycled through a handmade homeware shop, a digital magazine, photography, interviews with strangers living interesting lives, created and sold digital resources, started writing a novel, and about a dozen other things I got deep into quickly and then moved on from just as quickly. I always assumed something was wrong with me for not sticking to one thing. And most people around me agreed.

Turns out that's just who I am. Trying different things makes me feel alive and makes this life worth living. And when I finally stopped fighting it and started building a structure around it, everything got better.

IKIGLOO started as a planner I made for myself to get everything I wanted done. Then it became a method, because I was trying to understand why I wanted so many different things to begin with, and how to make everything work together. Then I decided that I no longer wanted to experiment alone and decided to build a community of like-minded people - the Experimentalists Club. If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

IKIGLOO is a name born from two worlds:

Ikigai, the Japanese concept about finding what makes life feel worth living. Or in other words, the thing that gets you out of bed. And Igloo - a shelter you build with your own hands, that keeps you warm when everything outside is freezing.

Put together, we get something quite beautiful - the idea that you can build a life that actually means something to you, brick by brick, with what you've got. It's about your inner world meeting your outer work. The part of you that knows and the part that builds. The vision and the hands. The dream and the doing.

IKIGLOO isn't about choosing one life and letting the others go. It's about knowing yourself well enough to design something that holds all of who you are and actually feels like yours.

The gap between the life we're living and the one that actually fits us is due to a lack of self-knowledge. Most life coaching & life design frameworks start with what we want from life, but IKIGLOO asks whether we know ourselves well enough to answer that question correctly.

Three simple ideas at the centre of everything

These are theories that IKIGLOO, as an experiment, is testing. The science behind each one is real, but the lived experience is being tested in real time.

The self-knowledge gap

Peace is not what we build toward, but what we build from. When we feel aligned and do the things that match who we actually are, motivation arrives naturally and in abundance. The drive, the ambition, the passion: these don't disappear when we find peace - we simply start aiming them at the correct things.

A life well-lived is in the process, not a destination. It consists of finding the right integration across all areas we care about - work, relationships, environment, daily life - and that balance is deeply personal. When we know ourselves, we know what shape our life needs to take to make it worth living.

Peace as foundation
Integration is personal

You don't need to pick one thing. You need to know yourself well enough to design a life that holds all of it - the career, the hobbies, the adventures, the side projects, and the things you haven't tried yet. I don't believe in productivity for its own sake. I believe in doing more of what matters to you so your life becomes a story you'd want to remember.

Key beliefs

A life well-lived holds all of who you are, not just the parts that are easy to explain.

Self-knowledge is the most practical thing a person can do when it comes to life design.

Peace is not the reward at the end, but the ground to build from.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Most people spend their whole lives waiting to feel ready to choose. Ready to commit to the career, the place, the version of themselves that makes sense to everyone else. But some people never feel that pull toward one thing, because they're pulled toward everything. IKIGLOO exists for the ones who've decided they're not choosing.

Vision

A world where people who have too many interests, too many ideas, and too many possible lives stop waiting to figure out which one to pick and start building the one that actually fits all of who they are.

Manifesto

To help multi-passionate people understand themselves well enough to stop circling and start building a life that holds all of it: the work, the adventures, the side projects, the things they haven't tried yet.

You were not built for one thing.

You were built for the work that makes you lose track of time, and the place that makes you feel alive, and the people who know all of you, and the thing you haven't tried yet that you already know you'll love.

You were built to change your mind. To start over. To hold contradictions without apologising for them.

The world will keep asking you to choose. Your CV will demand a narrative. Your family will want a simple answer. The algorithm will try to sort you into a category. Don't let it.

Know yourself well enough to design a life that holds all of you, not just the parts that are easy to explain. Experiment relentlessly. Stay curious about who you're becoming. Build the thing, then build the next thing.

You don't have to pick one life. You just have to design one that's actually yours.

Mission

A space for people figuring out what to do with their lives by getting to know themselves better and by actually trying things.
